How It Works

Step by step how everything works with Residential training at The Dog Therapist

Pre Stay Phone Call

We'll arrange a phone call to discuss your dogs training prior to the residential stay to answer any questions you may have and to go over what your expectations are.

Your Dog Sleeps At My Home

Your dog will stay with Craig the head trainer at his home (NOT IN KENNELS) and will sleep in their crate at nighttime. Your dog will be looked after loved and cared for as if it is one of his own dogs. You will need to bring with you your dogs bed, food, crate and favourite toys.

The Training We'll Cover

We DON'T have a one training plan suits all dogs because all dogs have different personalities and must be trained accordingly. This is a bespoke training plan to suit your individual dogs training needs. 

How We'll Train Your Dog

Your dog will go everywhere with head trainer Craig, from learning to settle and be calm in coffee shops to woodland walks for recall, to town centres and shopping centres to help with reactivity. Your dog can be trained for all scenarios.

We'll Send You Progress Videos

You'll be sent progress videos of how your dog is settling in and how the training is going in all different setting and stages. The videos will also include the training technique being used so you can continue the training after handover

The Handover

In the handover Craig Head Trainer will go over everything in detail that's been covered in the residential stay and give you homework to continue the progress of your dogs training

With all dog training you'll need to ensure you follow the homework and set training plan when you and your dog return home to continue your dogs progress 

How To Pay

Choose to pay in full or pay a £1,000 securing deposit to secure your preferred dates, please get in CONTACT to see if your dates you have in mind are available. Please note all residential training is payable in advance and only secured on receipt of deposit or paying in full. If you Choose to pay a deposit the remaining balance must be settled 30 days prior to residential stay.

If I'm available during Bank Holidays and you want to book in for residential training an additional charge of £145 is applicable, please contact me prior to booking to see if your dates you have in mind are available 

All EXTRA residential training days are charged at the standard rate of £145 per day.
