Meet Craig

 

Founder of The Dog Therapist, Craig has 27 years of dog training experience and working and trialing gun dogs. He has a proven track record in fixing badly behaved dogs fast. With his no nonsense straight to the point training he concentrates on training rather than rosettes and certificates.

Passionate about gundogs and basically all dogs in general Craig takes pride in his work by making sure that his clients and their dogs individual training requirements are fully met and everyone understands what to do and how to progress forward. Craig finds it really rewarding to help owners and novice handlers train their dogs and improve their relationship with their furry friends.

Watching owners fix their dogs bad behaviours at home or out on walks is always a pleasure as he knows and understands what it means to the owners to have their best friend being good boys or girls and doing as they’re told.

No Nose In Front Of Toes Dog Training

Over the last two decades Craig has designed the No Nose In Front Of Toes Technique which is a simple straight forward training method that is both easy for the owner and the dog to understand. With praise and correction based training students train with Craig to fix bad behaviours in the quickest most effective way.

Craig teaches his students how to communicate more effectively with their dogs by reading their body language and also being aware of their own body language too. Having a great understanding of your dog is truly the secret to well behaved, well mannered dog that you can enjoy for years to come.

Craig has achieved numerous awards and wins in working gundog trials and working tests and has achieved high standards using praise reinforcement methods of training to maximise the dogs enjoyment.




     

Sonny
Doggy Pack Leader

 

Sonny looks after all things doggy in our training academy and office. She packs all of your lead orders and helps out in the lessons with Craig to ensure you and your fur babies achieve your dream dogs at the end of the session. Sonny’s favourite part of the day is seeing the owners faces when all of the transformations happen.



     

Elisha

Elisha deals with all things social media, you’ll always find her behind the scenes recording our videos and editing them for you to enjoy. Elisha’s favourite part of the job is choosing the weekly cutest canine and cuddling all of the furry friends.


     

Nelly & Nora
Office Dogs

Nelly and Nora, our working cocker spaniels, help pack your orders with lots of licks and encouragement. They are always on hand to help with dogs that come in for residential training, acting as stooge dogs to help with clients dogs' reactivity
