Frequently Ask Questions
What are the benefits of the woodland walk dog training experience?
The woodland walk provides a natural environment where your dog can learn to stay calm around real life distractions such as other dogs, people, wildlife and unfamiliar surroundings. It allows you to put the No Nose In Front Of Toes Technique into practice while building your dog's confidence and focus outside the training academy.
Is this one to one dog training suitable for reactive dogs?
Yes. This programme is ideal for dogs that become reactive, overexcited or distracted during walks. We'll help you manage your dog's behaviour around everyday distractions, improving lead walking and encouraging calmer responses in outdoor environments.
Why is the woodland walk included in the training session?
Many dogs behave differently once they leave a controlled environment. The woodland walk allows us to reinforce the training in a realistic setting, helping your dog remain focused and responsive whilst encountering people, dogs, birds and other natural distractions.
What will I learn during the training session?
You'll begin with a one hour session at our dog training academy, where Craig will teach you the No Nose In Front Of Toes Technique. You'll then apply these skills during a guided woodland walk, learning how to improve lead walking, reduce reactivity and communicate more effectively with your dog.
Is this training suitable for every dog?
This one to one dog training programme is suitable for dogs that struggle with lead pulling, excitement and reactivity. However, it is not suitable for dogs that are aggressive towards people or other dogs, and certain breeds cannot be accepted due to insurance restrictions. If you're unsure whether this programme is right for your dog, please get in touch before booking.
