Frequesntly Asked Questions

Is the group behavioural dog walk suitable for dogs that pull on the lead?

Yes. Our group dog training workshop is ideal for dogs that pull on the lead, become overexcited on walks or need to improve their manners around distractions. You'll learn practical techniques to encourage loose lead walking while building your dog's confidence in a real world environment.

What happens during the coffee shop settle workshop?

The final part of the workshop takes place in a coffee shop, where you'll learn how to help your dog settle calmly around people, other dogs and everyday distractions. This practical training is designed to make outings more enjoyable and less stressful for both you and your dog.

Can reactive or aggressive dogs attend the workshop?

This workshop is suitable for dogs that need help with excitement, confidence and general behaviour around other dogs. However, it is not suitable for dogs that display aggression towards people or other dogs, as the training takes place in a group environment.

What should I bring to the dog training workshop?

Please bring your dog on a lead, poo bags and wear comfortable, practical clothing suitable for walking outdoors. The workshop takes place at Bridgemere Garden Centre and includes both outdoor dog training and coffee shop exercises, so sensible footwear is recommended.

What will my dog learn during the behavioural dog walk?

During the two hour workshop, your dog will practise loose lead walking, calm behaviour around other dogs, sit and stay, polite greetings and settling quietly in a coffee shop. The aim is to build confidence, improve everyday obedience and help you enjoy more relaxed walks together.
